Korean Word, Character & Byte Counter
Count Korean or mixed Korean-English text by characters, space-separated words, UTF-8 bytes and the EUC-KR estimate. Results update as you type.
Count Korean and English text
Type or paste Korean, English or mixed text to see characters with and without spaces, space-separated words and byte counts. Korean words are counted from whitespace boundaries, so compare the result with your final submission form when its rules differ.
Korean bytes, emoji and encoding
A Korean syllable normally uses 3 bytes in UTF-8, while this tool's EUC-KR estimate uses 2. Character counts use JavaScript string length, so one emoji can occupy multiple units. The EUC-KR value is an estimate rather than validation of an encoded file; check the destination form.
